JOHN AND YOKO

John Lennon met Yoko Ono in 1966. He was a member of the Beatles, the most successful pop group in the world, and she was an avant-garde artist from Japan. At the time, she was holding an art exhibition in London and John went along to see it. Her art was very unusual and a lot of people didn't understand it, but John thought it was fascinating and he immediately liked it.
During the exhibition, they started talking. They got along extremely well and very soon they were seeing each other frequently. John enjoyed talking to someone new about art and music, particularly because he was not very happy with the Beatles at that time. Over the next year John and Yoko saw more and more of each other and developed a strong relationship.

In 1968 John separated from his wife and started appearing publicly with Yoko. They went everywhere together. John even took Yoko to the studio to watch him recording, although the other members of the Beatles were not very happy about this.

In 1969 John and Yoko were married, and a year later the Beatles split up. Many people said that this happened because of Yoko's influence on John, but the group was having disagreements before John met Yoko.

For the next few years, John and Yoko worked together closely on musical and artistic projects and also became involved in a campaign against the war in Vietnam. They moved to New York in the early 1970s, and although they separated briefly, they got back together. John stopped writing music in 1975 so that he could look after his newly born son, Sean. They did start recording again in 1980, but in December of that year John was murdered outside his home.
